this is a beautiful painting. if I win it I will give it to my mom because it will remind her of when I was a child playing with balloons. my mom would draw faces on the balloons for me and tie cardboard feet she’d make for me so that the balloon would bounce. looking at this painting now it reminds me of my childhood. 🙂
My heart says to sit down, eat some chocolate and leave the washing for another week…and so here I am!

I am following my heart by choosing to stay home with my babies just that little bit longer. Even though it can be tough financially, it is overwhelmingly worth it and I am rewarded for that decision each and every day.

I went through most of my life not knowing what I wanted to do with it, or what career I would like. When I was 21, I realised that the one constant in my life is that I’ve always loved food. It had never occurred to me before that time that it could be a career for me, as I didn’t want to be a chef. When my local university began a Nutrition course, I overcame my fears and applied, being both relieved and scared when I was accepted. I can only study part-time due to a chronic illness, but I work within my limitations and refuse to let it, or any other difficulties in my life, prevent me from reaching my full potential and dreams. I listened to my heart, and continue to, and my heart tells me not to give up on myself.

I’m following my heart and I have my baby girl right now. When I was married, my husband was really eager to have one, on the other side, I want to wait for a while, but then the miracle happened and I’m glad I followed my heart to keep it. Now, she’s the best thing that ever happened to me.

I’m following my heart by doing what I love! My brick & mortar store shut down, but I did not give up. I started an online business and am happier than ever. 🙂
I am following my heart and searching for a job in Flash animation. I was laid off in April and with the way the economy is jobs in my field seem to be dwindling. In the meantime I am doing well with my Etsy shop and my blog. I’m also having a giveaway!

I left behind a fantastic job in the city, my family and friends to marry a man who lived in a small country town. It was hard but I don’t regret one minute of it.
I always follow my heart, and do what makes me happy! I’ve learned over the past few years that its not about money or what others think, if you wake up in the morning and are happy with who you are and what your day has in store for you, its all that matters.

What a beautiful painting! Love the colors…And for me, I would say that I follow my heart everyday by staying in a country far away from my home…but I do it for my beloved boyfriend, could not live without him 🙂

My heart.
At times it is heavy.
At times overjoyed.
At times filled with so much love I cannot stand it.
What comprises my heart is my family. My husband and my little boy…as well as my extended family. My animals (and really all animals) occupy a place in there too. As does mother nature. I have a special place in my heart for those who serve our country (military) as well as our country and cities (firefighters, police).
I support (follow) all of these beautiful things that occupy my heart. I get to stay home and be a mom and wife (and do Etsy as well as work part time). I support environmental and animal rights issues as well as our heroes, our U.S. Soldiers.
Follow my heart…mum is well (constant contact is great), son is happy at work (my heart lightens) other son is on track for the day (disability in check) and partner is smiling (smiling back at him!)
By quitting my lucrative law practice to become the ukulele player in a skiffle band..
I’ve already followed my heart by adopting my beautiful children.
I follow my heart by doing what I love and being with people I love, like my family and pets.
I am now in New Zealand with DH and finding my way towards being a professional crafter. A dream come true now we are here.

I’m following my heart as shepherd and farmer of the sheep and horses at Thistle Cove Farm. God has given me the desire of my heart in this small homestead in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of southwest Virginia. I spin the wool from the sheep, combine it with the American Curly horse fiber and knit scarves, hats, etc. I quilt, bake, cook, go to a little country church and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy all my blessings!
