You may or may not know that I am an avid Bunnings fan. Not only because it’s full of handy man tools and materials and lots of crafty stuff, but because they have a paint department that has a whole wall full of COLOURED little cards, that are FREE! I know that they are supposed to help home decorators with what colour to paint their living room wall, but on the weekend I made myself a lovely little collection of about 50 cards (and no, I’m not painting my living room). What makes them so cute is that each card has a colour name too… green tiara, deep watermelon, golden frog and lady lime.. (how does one get a paint colour naming job?!)
Anyhoo, I was thinking I could use them in my classes at school in some activity on colour. I don’t know how yet… anyone got any ideas?

I love playing with those swatches too. I have collected a beautiful range of swatches of laminated surfaces. Btw, I know someone who amongst other amazing projects, makes up names for paint & material surfaces as part of her job! She is Judy Dymond, Design Consultant for Laminex, Boral Bricks and many more companies large and small. Her work is fabulous, unfortunately she doesn’t have a website I can refer to you but I wish she did!
